Praise the Lord for good results in uni

End of my term holidays already & it's back to college *sobness*
There goes my precious rotting time, haha.
But since there's no lecture today, most of us are only attending tomorrow, what imps ;-p
So i checked on my Unisa results to see how i did for the previous semester- which was not too long ago; before the holidays. Wow, where has the time gone. We grow up so fast *sniffles*
i got D for every one of my subjects except CCS. Darn that subject. D for Donkey??? Haha i'd be crying if Unisa follows the A, B, C grading system. But D here = Distinction, so i'm pretty glad.
All i can say is praise God that i got through the first semester without breaking anything. D, C, D, D...hmm...not bad, eh? But i give God all the credit. Couldn't have done it without Him.
Only the with God's grace, only with God's grace

Oh pretty baby (Didi)

S.C.E.A.M.
My aunt has returned from China for a 6 week holiday, bringing with her tons of gifts. Even better, she brought my ADORABLE baby cousin [she's all of two now] with her. My cousin; mine mine MINE ALL MINE!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
Didi (short for Deanna) is 2 feet (i think) of attitude & sass. i mean seriously; she can never keep still for a moment. Not especially when we are around. She loves being around people & seems to have taken a liking to my youngest bro. Everywhere she goes she's like "Jo-Kyle, Jo-Kyle come here". It's no easy chore looking after her. Most...actually every two-year-olds are content with sticking to mummy like glue and sitting quietly, playing with dollies...but this babe is like road rage man! Too fast too furious.

My aunt prayed for a girl when she found out she was pregnant. Come ultrasound time, she really got a baby girl. Then she prayed for the baby to have lots of hair. Come delivery, the doctors first saw a black bush, making its way for-...uhm, maybe i'd better not continue. Anyways she got everything she wanted. It didn't take long for Didi to do...just about anything.OMG for a two year old, she is awesome!!! My uncle says she is everything he wants in a daughter.
My aunt received an email about child development and research showed that the average 2 yr old can recognise at the names of at least two friends. Bah! This girl knows everybody in her nursery in China. She knows the names of my family members too. We've actually seen her once last year. She was 1 at the time & already learnt our names. One year didn't do anything to make her forget us. She came back to Malaysia remembering everybody in the family.Tell me that isn't cool, i dare you. Also, she can sing in chinese, english, and bm...wow.
Here's lookin at you, babe. i'd kill for cheeks like those. So pinchable
Theory of hyperactivity- Energy=Didi
She's a ball of nonstop action.Jackie Chan's cue to retire (Plus she's cuter, gosh)

whoa 100kmph
This is how fast she moves. i can't even get a clear pic

Youngest camwhore. i managed to convince her to stay still for awhile to take a picture

Her signature pose.Too cute.
Her hair is actually much longer. It's all tied up
Mine MINE ALL MINE!!!
PS- Once, in China, my aunt was getting her ready for a bath when a visitor arrived at their apartment. My aunt let in the visitor and Didi ran out of the room in her birthday suit and jumped at the uncle with open arms and yelled "SURPRISE!"
PPS- Everyone swears that i was just like Didi when i was young. My aunt even wrote a college paper about me. O.O

A platypus in a UPSR taugeh project

My sister had this science project for UPSR and she was supposed to grow bean sprouts in two separate containers. The first had to contain 5 seeds & the other, 10 seeds. The objective was to observe which container would have the bigger and healthier sprouts [duh the five]...

Aww...they're so cute.

She brought it inside the house the night before she was supposed to hand in the project & kept blabbing on about it to me. We never had projects like that during my time...not that i remember, that is.

i took a closer look at her plants & found something inside.OMG HAHAHAHAHA, there was a paper platypus swimming in her pool of bean sprouts. It was from a decorative paper perforator, you know the kind with different shapes & patterns. We have one the shape of a platypus. Apparently, one of the pieces came to life like Chucky the doll & decided to go for a dip.

Up close & blurry

Blue paper platypus swimming in the sprouts
My sis & i were doubled over. Guess what we did after that? We threw it away.Done!

The day I got my IC back

i got my IC back. -_-

This has got to be the weirdest thing that's ever happened to me...but i really do thank God for it. It's such a relief to see the familiar blue card in my hands with the gold chip and hideous photo of a fat 12 year old. *sigh* Ah yes, life is good when you know the Lord. =)

God is VERY real

Not too long ago, my mom bought a book called 'Message from God'. It was written by the Retha McPherson, the Mrs South Africa of 2004. That year, she and her whole family were involved in a severe road accident. Retha, her husband and youngest son Josh suffered nothing serious, but when they found the body of their elder son Aldo, they were devastated- he was almost dead.

They rushed him to the hospital and it was a battle throughout the night. He was lingering between life and death. He survived but he became crippled. Things started to change tremendously for Retha and her family. Aldo couldn't speak at first but he wrote messages to his mom that God took him to heaven at the night of the accident when doctors were fighting to save his life. He saw heaven and he saw God. When i read the book i was so overcome about the hard-hitting reality. God is very very real. Aldo experienced something most of us can't imagine.

All that happened for a reason. God wanted to use Aldo to testify in his name for his glory. Aldo met two boys in heaven and when his life was saved and he was back on earth, he told his mom to search for the mothers of the two boys. Both families had become broken after the deaths of the boys. Aldo told each mother not to worry and that their sons were in heaven. As time passed, Aldo was slowly healed by God. He was visited by an angel several times and he knew about the huge tsunami beforehand, and told his mom.His mom didn't understand what he was trying to say until the tsunami occured. She was sent as a representative to administer aid.

Aldo saw many people across a bridge but they were not inside heaven. The hordes were crying. He asked God who they were and what were they doing there. God replied that they were Christians. Christians only by name but disobedient people. They attended church and read the Bible but they did not live according to His word and their hearts were far from God. How long would they have to stay outside? Would they be able to enter? God says no, they will be there forever.

So Aldo had had a very miraculous experience in going to heaven, seeing God, angels, Moses and Abraham. When he came back, he brought with him this message: Jesus is alive! Reading this opened my eyes as to how real God, heaven and hell is. And even for christians, we should not just stop at accepting Jesus as our Lord and saviour, but grow in God. Obey Him and become more and more like Him everyday. Your reward will be up in heaven. Just remember, God will JUDGE....

The Chronicles of KTM

Hey people! Here i am to talk about everybody's "favourite" subject. The KTM!!!
*cue: cheers...& jeers*

Here's a picture of the infamous hunk of junk, the KTM!!! This is along some track, i dunno where but it kinda looks like it's between Batu Tiga and Shah Alam.

Here is my favourite model of the KTM!!! You can tell from its flat nose. i LOVE the seats in this train.

Ok people, lets all give a rousing applause to the people who make it all POSSIBLE!

The KTM Crew!!! We should salute them for their dedicated, longsuffering, painful service to Malaysia's mode of public transport (*ahem*, which is in dire need of mechanisation *ahem*).

*****************************************************************

Love it, HATE it, the KTM is here to stay. Maybe we just need to accept it for what it is. Give our beloved Krappy Tin Metal a chance.

Ok folks that's all for today. Don't forget to pick up a copy of my bestseller, 'KTM Services for Dummies' at your nearest bookstore. It's an exposé on the Malaysian Besi Buruk series- a handy handbook for every friendly neighbourhood commuters. Hurry while stocks last, coz it's flying off the shelves!

Dedicated to all my KTM buddies:

So guys, in case whatever bit me was a radioactive spider, i might morph into who knows what. i might not even remember being a girl with the annoying blog, so i just wanted to say...BUBBYE! C YA LATER SUCKERS!!!

Don't Wait

My sis got this in her email from a friend:

'Twas the night Jesus came
and all through the house,
not a person was praying,
not one in the house..

The Bible was left
on the shelf without care,
for no one thought
Jesus would come there..

The children were dressing
to crawl into bed,
not once ever kneeling
or bowing their head..

And Mom in the rocking chair
with babe on her lap,
was watching the Late Show
as I took a nap..

When out of the east
there rose such a clatter,
I sprang to my feet
to see what was the matter..

Away to the window
I flew like a flash,
tore open the shutters
and lifted the sash..

When what to my wondering
eyes should appear,
but Angels proclaiming
that Jesus was here..

The light of His face
made me cover my head...
was Jesus returning
just like He'd said..

And though I possessed
worldly wisdom and wealth,
I cried when I saw Him
in spite of myself..

In the Book of Life
which he held in his hand,
was written the name
of every saved man..

He spoke not a word
as he searched for my name,
when He said "it's not here"
My head hung in shame..

The people whose names
had been written with love,
He gathered to take
to his Father above..

With those who were ready
He rose without sound,
while all of the others
were left standing around...

I fell to my knees
but it was too late,
I'd waited too long
and thus sealed my fate.

I stood and I cried
as they rose out of sight,
Oh, if only I'd known
that this was the night....

In the words of this poem
the meaning is clear
the coming of Jesus
is now drawing near...

There's only one life
and when comes the last call,
We'll find out that the Bible
was true after all...
